| Andrew is a media planner at Optimedia, an NYC-based advertising agency. He became active in the Young Republicans in 2002, his senior year in High School, in response to the indoctrination that his teachers in Great Neck attempted to carry out. After graduating from Great Neck South High School, Stream attended Boston University on a Latin Scholarship. During his time at BU, Stream was active in the College Republican chapter, holding several positions on the executive board. Stream was appointed as Boston Metro Recruitment Director of the Massachusetts Alliance of College Republicans in 2004 by then president Brad Smith. Despite all of his extracurricular activities, Stream graduated in 3 years, receiving his B.A. in Ancient Greek and Latin, cum laude, in May of 2005. Andrew was appointed to the board of directors of the Nassau County Young Republicans in 2005 by Alex Vassallo. The following year he successfully ran for 1st Vice President of Campaigns. Following Immediate Past President Michael Kaplan's resignation and subsequent move to Washington, D.C., Stream assumed the office of President, also executing the duties of the 1st Vice President in September, 2007. He was officially elected via a special election at the September general membership meeting. Stream has volunteered in various capacities on numerous campaigns thoughout the Northeast, including John Faso's bid for NY State Comptroller, Mitt Romney's campaign for MA Governor, John Sununu's campaign for US Senate, James Garner's campaign for US Congress, as well as countless other campaigns on the local, state, and national level. Andrew's interests include reading, playing the guitar, and traveling. |
